[toc]With the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in full swing in Nevada, other poker news can fall through the cracks. One such story is the new poker room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
On June 1, the property moved its popular poker room from its longtime location outside in Seminole Paradise to a new location inside the casino. The 36-table poker room is now located inside the ballrooms. The room will host all cash games and daily tournaments.
The easiest access to the new poker room is through the Seminole Way garage.
According to a press release from Seminole Gaming, patrons using the Seminole Way garage will have “easy, covered, air-conditioned access to the poker area.”
New poker room closer to tournament action
The new location is also closer to where the Seminole Hard Rock hosts major poker tournaments. The casino hosts several tournament series, like the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open and the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.
Larry Frank, general manager of gaming operations for Seminole Gaming, spoke about the new room:
“In maintaining the quality experience of poker play that the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino poker room is known for, we’re excited about the new poker space and are committed to continuing to offer some of the region’s best promotions and tournaments. The new room’s proximity to our major tournament venue is expected to help amplify our cash action during the upcoming Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open and all subsequent series.”

The Hard Rock Tampa poker room, which opened under the same guidelines outlines above, saw an immediate demand as poker players not only flocked to the tables, but were willing to put their names on long waiting lists.
'The opening of poker at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa went extremely well. It has been open for over three weeks and the tables remain full, with lists,' the Seminole poker team added. 'Much of the credit goes to Director of Poker Operations, Pablo Perez.'
